Droid X And Droid 2 Headed To Europe

A new rumour from the French Android blog FrAndroid suggests that the Droid X will be launched in Europe by the end of the year, with the Droid 2 to follow soon after. The Droid X has already been released in the US and has been doing really good there, I guess people seem to like 4″3 screens a lot judging from the sales of the HTC Evo as well. The Droid 2 however is yet to be announced.

At the moment the source from which FrAndroid got this information cannot be confirmed and the picture they posted (above) doesn’t strengthen the rumour either as it’s a picture of a Verizon Motorola Droid x. FrAndroid, however suggests that the picture is of a prototype version of the European Droid X and and that their designs have yet to be finalized.

Based on the success the phones had in the States, it would be hard for Motorola to ignore the European market, so I would expect there to be a GSM version.

If the devices come out over here, I wonder what it will be called, Milestone X and Milestone 2 maybe?

Let us know what you think.
